About the Role:
We are currently seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our expanding team.

Brief duties and responsibilities:
1. Assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.

2. Pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors. Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.

3. Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures.

4. Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system following installation, replacement, or repair.

5. Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.

6. Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices, heating and cooling systems.

7. Conduct preventive maintenance programs and update maintenance records.

8. Learn how to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.

9. Familiarize yourself with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant safety regulations.

10. Attend classes and training sessions to gain theoretical knowledge and technical skills.

11. Help maintain a clean and safe work environment, including keeping tools and equipment organized and properly maintained.

12. Learn how to safely use hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing equipment.

13. Observe and follow safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.

14. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, both verbally and in writing.

15. Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.

16. Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced electricians.

General requirements:

- Must have a good understanding of English.
- Must be able to work under pressure.
- A valid driver’s licence is an asset.

**Salary**: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

- electrical: 1 year (preferred)

- Driver's License (preferred)
