Edmonton, Canada Hi Signs Full time

As our **Accounting & Finance Manager**, you’ll report directly to the Managing Director and work closely with our leadership team. You’ll oversee in-house financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and help guide decision-making by bringing clarity to the numbers.

You’ll work within a small but capable finance team (one direct report in-house, and two remote CPA's). You'll work collaboratively with AR/AP staff and project managers, and help implement best practices across accounting, job costing, and financial analysis.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes
- Produce accurate financial statements, P&L reports, and cash flow analysis
- Oversee AR/AP processes and supervise one accounting team member
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank and credit cards
- Maintain and improve costing models for jobs and products
- Work within our Chart of Accounts (QuickBooks Online)
- Partner with leadership to analyze profitability and margins
- Develop financial reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Assist with and ensure tax filings, remittances, and regulatory requirements are met

**What We’re Looking For**
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a hands-on role
- Experience managing month-end financials and internal reporting
- Strong knowledge of **QuickBooks Online**:

- Comfortable working with AR/AP processes and supervising staff
- Business-minded: someone who sees the story behind the numbers
- Experience with **job costing or manufacturing/construction environments**:

- Ability to improve processes, bring structure, and work independently
- Bonus: CPA designation (or in progress), but not required
- Bonus: Familiarity with accounting related platforms

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
