**Purpose**

Reporting to the Store Management, the Sales Associate’s main goal is to provide outstanding service to all the customers in selecting the right product to meet their needs, as well as to provide support on maintaining the company guidelines for visual display standards and stock management in order to maximize sales opportunities, while adhering to all MUJI policies and procedures.

**Role and responsibilities**

**Customer Service and Sales**
- Ensure that customers are the top priority.
- Be alert and respond to customers’ needs and their buying signals.
- Be aware of store daily and weekly budgets and promotions, and actively seek sales to achieve these.
- Develop knowledge of the MUJI product range and sales techniques required to sell them.
- Develop excellent knowledge of the MUJI Gram including but not limited to Customer Service Practices, 5 Key Phrases and General Store upkeep.

**Store Merchandising/ Product Handling**
- Develop high standards of merchandise presentation and stock handling as per MUJI guidelines.
- Know the best sellers lines and provide support on ensuring prominent feature and stock levels are maintained.
- Ensure that shop floor and staff areas housekeeping and presentation is exemplary.

**Systems**
- Make efficient and effective use of all store equipment and systems, including the tills.
- Be fully conversant with the use of the IT equipment.
- Be fully aware of direct delivery and mail order processes.
- Develop knowledge of stock control systems and ensure that standards of security awareness are maintained.
- Assist where directed, with all forms of stock control systems

**Security**
- To aid the management team with regard to the general security of stock.
- To adhere to company’s security procedures

**Health & Safety**
- Be aware of and adhere to company’s health and safety guidelines
- Ensure that the manual handling best practice is carried out at all times in the store.
- Ensure all fire exits are clear at all times.

**General**
- Make a significant contribution to successful team working at the store
- Flexibility to work varied hours including late shifts, weekends and bank holidays.

**Knowledge and skills**
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent customer service.
- Initiative.
- Team player.

**Education and experience**
- Previous fashion retail experience and/or excellent customer service experience advantageous.
- Previous cash handling experience desirable.

**Additional information**
- May be requested to work in other GTA locations from time to time
