Host/hostess

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Provide menus and assist with seating arrangements
- Answer phone calls and take reservations
- Manage waitlists and ensure timely seating of guests
- Maintain a clean and organized host station and lobby
- Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with food service when needed, such as delivering food to tables
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system for order entry and payment processing

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Strong organizational skills to manage waitlists and seating arrangements efficiently
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with calmness and professionalism
- Knowledge of phone etiquette
- Familiarity with food service procedures and basic knowledge of menu items
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a passion for providing exceptional guest services
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 18 per week
