Professional Dog Handler

Wolf In Winter is an established Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Company based in Sidney, BC. Please read description completely to understand that we are hiring for someone interested and capable of walking multiple dogs in a pack hiking environment.

We operate a very busy and growing Dog Pack Hiking operation that involves picking up and dropping off our client dogs in climate controlled minivans and taking them on Adventure pack walks on our Private Acreage, local beaches and trails.

We specialize in serving North and Central Saanich. Looking for a new team member with a love of and understanding of how to work with pets in your care. Your previous background in Dog Walking, Pet Care, Farm life, working with horses will be helpful. An intuitive understanding of Dogs is a prerequisite for this position. Previous work in a veterinary or dog handling/training environment is an asset.

Primarily looking for a part/full Time Dog Pack walker, which requires experience, skill and the ability to manage many dogs in your control and care at one time. Experience preferred but willing to train the right person. Ability to Pet Sit, Board, and train is also helpful. Pet First Aid helpful.

We GREATLY prefer if you live on the Peninsula. This is part time (20) hours per week approx. 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Mon-Fri moving to full time. Priority given to local applicants.

This is all-weather work, this means that unless there is a mega Snow Storm and the roads are unsafe....we're walking, our pups depend on us to get their daily fun and exercise, and we deliver

Wolf In winter is insured, licensed, and permitted to walk dogs in all CRD parks, and we focus on Central and North Saanich. We also have acres of private property for our dog walking activity which is both on and off leash. Safety of our dogs is paramount and we use e collar conditioning and various training methods to ensure safety and happiness of our packs.

Experience in Dog training as asset as we plan to expand our client services in this direction.

Your ability to do Pet Check-Ins, Pet Sitting and Boarding, nail trims or other related services, is helpful. A back ground in Veterinary services or other animal related work would be great too.
