Located in Burlington, Ontario, Corbett Land Strategies is a boutique planning firm large enough to succeed in the thriving GTHA market while small enough to stay personal and have passion and caring for our clients and staff. We have been providing urban planning services to the Greater Toronto Area and the Province of Ontario for over a decade. We specialize in a wide range of residential, commercial, employment, agricultural, and mixed-use land use planning. Our expertise includes urban design, planning policy, community design, development approvals, community consultation, and project management. We are imaginative and committed to finding creative solutions in challenging regulatory environments.

**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage the development planning team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Oversee and coordinate the firm’s planning projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery within client expectations.
- Collaborate with clients, municipal staff, and stakeholders to facilitate development approvals and resolve planning issues.
- Ensure the team’s work complies with Ontario Planning Act, Provincial Planning Statement and municipal land-use planning policies and other applicable regulations.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and expanding the firm’s client base.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging creative problem-solving and efficient project management.
- Represent the firm in public consultations, community meetings, and as a key liaison with external stakeholders.

**What you will bring to Corbett Land Strategies**
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or a related field.
- Membership in the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) is mandatory.
- Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designation is required.
- 5+ years of experience in urban planning, development approvals, or related fields, with experience in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Planning Act, Provincial Planning Statement and municipal land-use planning policies and other applicable regulations
- Proven track record of managing complex planning projects and leading teams.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
- Working knowledge of planning-related software (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD, or similar tools) as well as Microsoft 365, Adobe and other related software.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Access to a vehicle and in possession of a valid driver's license.

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
