As an **Automation Technician** at Rainbow Greenhouses, you’ll be hands-on with the equipment that powers our modern greenhouse operations. From climate control to conveyor belts, you’ll help maintain, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the systems that keep our plants (and people) thriving.

**What You’ll Do**:
**Maintain systems**:

- Perform regular maintenance on automated systems: conveyors, irrigation, climate control, and more
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC/control issues
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime

**Optimization**:

- Identify opportunities to improve system performance and reliability
- Collaborate with growers, production, and leadership to rethink and refine processes
- Support upgrades, retrofits, and integration of new automation technologies

**Documentation and external support**:

- Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and performance
- Help train team members on system use and basic troubleshooting
- Work with vendors and suppliers for external technical support

**Teamwork**:

- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
- Contribute to a positive, solution-focused team culture

**Does this sound like you?**:

- Diploma, certification, or strong experience in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or Electrical
- 5+ years working with automation or control systems (greenhouse, manufacturing, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, sensors, actuators, motors, and control systems
- Bonus points for knowledge of TTA and Visser transplanters, ISO sticking robots, WPS conveyor systems
- Curious, detail-oriented, and always looking for ways to improve
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
