Body Shop Prepper

**Rush Truck Centres of Canada** is a part of Rush Enterprises, the largest commercial vehicle dealership group in North America. We represent a wide range of industry-leading truck and trailer brands backed by parts, sales, service, collision repair, lease and rental support. The Body Shop Prepper is required to perform tasks in the repair of vehicles and reports to the Body Shop Supervisor.

**Responsibilities**- Ensure compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
- Removes, replaces interiors, trims, and accessories to gain access to damaged areas.
- Removes dents and repairs damaged surfaces or replaces damaged parts.
- Works with boy fillers, glazes, primers, and other painting materials.
- Grinds, files, sands, welds, and refinishes surfaces.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Comply with all relevant Health and Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Expected to have a positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment.
- Such other services as determined by management from time to time.
- Perform in a team environment with mínimal supervision.
- Other mechanical repair work as required.

**Basic Qualifications**
- Proven abilities in automotive body repairs.
- 3 to 5 years of Bondo experience.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Computer literate.
- High school diploma
- Criminal Record Check
- Driver's Abstract

**Work Conditions**
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb.
- Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
- Overtime as required.
- Hazards associated with the trade.
- Exposure to loud noises.
- Work both indoors and outdoors.
