About The Role

The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance of all Altasciences sites. He(She) coordinates with the external suppliers and is available on-call on a rotating schedule.

What You'll Do Here- Refresh the paint and ensure the repairs of damaged walls and damaged flooring for all Altasciences sites, sometimes the work may require working outside of regular business hours.- Replacement of all non-functioning lighting (neon lights, light bulbs, etc.).- Replacement of damaged or stained ceiling tiles.- Assist the electro mechanics with repairs.- Basic plumbing work such as valves replacement, equipment installation.- Moving various furniture or office supplies.- Assignment of keys to employees.- HVAC belt and filter replacement.- Manages the Emergency help line (24/7) on a rotating basis.- Assist with site visits and arranging service calls as needed.- Weekly testing of the generators which include filing forms.

What You'll Need to Succeed- High school diploma and/or D.E.P. General Building Maintenance (an asset).- 3 years experience or more in a building maintenance role.- Must be bilingual - French and English.- Driver License Required (The technician has to travel from one site to another: Montreal and Laval).- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting service quality objectives.- Excellent customer service skills.- Ability to work within a team and a sense of organization.- Must be able to work flexible hours.- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Must have a certain level of experience with computers.- Have to be available to travel between our Laval and Montreal Sites.

What We Offer- Full Time, Regular position.- 37,5 hours/week.- Since the position has an on-call element, we provide a cell phone.
