Has experience working in an ophthalmic or optometric office and is familiar with aspects of patient screening and pre-testing (OCT, HVF, topography, photography, biometry).
- May have experience assisting with office procedures including intravitreal injections.
- May have experience in surgical counselling.
- Is excellent at multitasking and can work accurately, with attention to detail, in a fast paced environment.
- Is computer literate, efficient using Electronic Medical Records (Accuro) and curious to learn new software.
- Is flexible and willing to work in a variety of positions in the office through the week and as needs arise. Is willing and motivated to learn new skills.
- Is able to provide a positive and professional attitude towards both patients and staff.
- Is able to work constructively in both an individual and team environment.
- Is kind and caring with elderly patients.
- Will maintain patient and office confidentiality without exception.
- Will adhere to office COVID-19 protocols without exception.
Wage will be competitively based on qualifications and experience.
