Midland Family Dentistry is a small, established and busy dental practice in located in the beautiful downtown of Midland, Ontario with its mission of striving together to educate achieve and maintain quality oral health care in a dynamic professional and friendly environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greeting and assisting new patients with forms, giving office policies, etc
- Assist reception whenever possible answering phones, greeting patients, processing patients, booking appointments.
- Scanning all documents into patient files.
- Faxing and photocopying when needed.
- Seating patients and making sure they are comfortable and ready for dentist
- Making sure all rooms are fully stocked.
- Assisting hygiene - perio charting, etc.
- to fully set up the operatory for the procedure
- to seat and prepare the patient for treatment
- to assist the Dentist at chairside
- to update patient medical history before treatment
- to update charts after treatment
- to help the patient after the procedure
- to clean the operatory after patient leaves, ready for next patient
- to sterilize instruments
- to complete needed lab work

**Requirements**:

- Certified Level I or 2 Dental Assistant
- AbelDent familiarity is a benefit, but not required
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be organized and a quick learner
- Must be self-motivated

**Team work and cross training**
- We like our staff to be equipped with many tools so that in cases of vacation and emergency we are able to cover for each other so the patient care does not suffer.
