Are you passionate about working with kids and making a positive impact in their lives? We're looking for an enthusiastic After School Worker (ASW) to join our team and create fun, engaging, and educational experiences for children aged 6 to 12
As an ASW, you'll lead exciting activities that promote physical fitness, healthy eating habits, and boost self-confidence. Plus, you'll provide essential homework support to help kids thrive both in and out of the classroom. If you're ready to inspire young minds and make a real difference, this role is for you
**Program-Related Activities**
- Engages in activities to meet local children and youth, their families, and community residents to promote the after school programming.
- Liases with community residents and community resource staff to promote the programs and related opportunities in the community.
- Liases with relevant Carlington staff to plan the programs, ensuring each session of the program has the following components: physical activity, healthy food choices and nutrition, personal health and wellness activities, and schoolwork assistance.
- Organizes and implements the program, ensuring all components of the program run smoothly, problem solving issues as they arise, and liaising with program partners as required.
- Registers clients, and maintain daily attendance for each registrant in the program.
- Supervises participants and delivers program content within a safe and secure environment, ensuring positive interactions among program participants.
- Ensures accountability by providing statistics and reports of activities, as required, and keeps accurate client records, as required, within the safeguards of confidentiality.
