Position - Associate Lawyer, Karapancev Law Professional Corporation

Karapancev Law is a criminal defence firm located in downtown Toronto, with offices just a short walk from the New Toronto Courthouse. We represent clients throughout Ontario that have been charged with a range of criminal offences. As our firm continues to expand, we are looking to add another associate lawyer to our team.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Carriage of files from intake to trial;
- Running bail hearings and trials;
- Assisting with complex files;
- Set date appearances;
- Legal research and memo drafting;
- Disclosure review and trial prep;
- Conducting CPTs and JPTs;
- Attending court and jails;

**Requirements**: A minimum of one year of work experience in criminal defence, a law license in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario, a driver’s Licence and your own vehicle, a willingness to work outside normal business hours, which may include evenings and weekends based on operational needs.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON M5H 3P5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- criminal defence: 1 year (required)
