We are currently seeking a highly motivated, talented individual to join our team in the position of Driver Examiner/Instructor.

**Job Overview**:
As a driving examiner/instructor you will play a crucial role in supporting both drivers and operational staff in vetting, hiring and training of new drivers to Checker Cabs. You will work closely with the Operations team to oversee, steer and develop driving standards. This position will require an individual that can work well with a diverse work force to achieve safety goals. You will be a detail orientated individual with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities Included**:

- Assist in new driver onboarding by evaluating applicants.
- Monitor, review and develop training plans from telematics in taxis.
- Hold classroom training seminars on safe driving.
- In car individual driver training and follow up training.
- Analyze incidents for future retraining.

**Job Requirements and Qualification Include**:

- Extensive experience in safe driving training.
- Clean driving abstract - preferably Class 4 license
- Provincial Vehicle Instructor License from Alberta
- Previous experience in training fleet drivers
- Knowledge of industry regulations and Alberta Traffic Act.
- Strong computer and typing skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet.
- Strong communication and time management/organizational skills
- Achievement oriented, competitive.

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
