**JOB TITLE**:INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

**IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR**:Inside Sales Manager

**BASIC FUNCTION**: The Inside Sales Representative will build relationships with our customers by assisting with product inquiries, product demonstrations & processing orders. This position provides our customers with a high level of service which is integral to our company values; Excellence, Passion, Solutions.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Greet customers when they arrive in the store and provide the highest level of service.
- Build rapport and trust with customers and provide them with guidance and support.
- Always maintain a positive and professional attitude.
- Work with other team members and leaders to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
- Operate cash register, receive payments and issues receipts to customers.
- Issue refunds or credits, as necessary.
- Provide customers with information on additional items related to their needs.
- Collaborate with other departments to initiate special orders for items that are not commonly in stock.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products sold, their usage, and new products on the market.
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits.
- Replace merchandise on the shelves (FIFO).
- Maintain proper housekeeping including but not limited to the product displays.
- Attend and participate in all company-sponsored training programs as required.
- Assist supervisor, other employees as needed.

One (1) mandatory Saturday every year for inventory (Last weekend of July before Civic Holiday weekend).

**EDUCATION**: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

**EXPERIENCE**: 2 years experience in commercial/retail sales or equivalent combination of education and experience.

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES**:

- Bilingual is an asset (written and oral) in English and French.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Use excellent oral communication and best practices in customer service when interacting with customers.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Possess an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
- Problem solving skills.
- Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of building materials preferred; but an eagerness to learn is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team.
- Basic computer skills (operating computerized cash register, ordering merchandise for customers, entering and tracking merchandise, scheduling with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software)
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment as prescribed in designated areas.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**:

- Ability to stand and walk for long periods at a time.
- Reach overhead to grasp materials.
- Bend, stoop, or squat to floor level on occasion.
- Manual dexterity.
- Strength and ability to lift and/or move products, commonly 30-50lbs and rarely up to 90lbs with company equipment or manual assistance.

**ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Moderate noise level.
- Work with mechanical equipment daily.

**LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION: None Required**

**SALARY**: $22.89 - $27.47 per hour based on experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
