Your Opportunity:
Description:
As a Lead Hand, you will be responsible for providing functional supervision to a moderately sized group of similar journeyperson trade staff. In addition to functional supervision, you will perform a wide variety of journeyperson level trade duties associated with maintaining, renovating, repairing and construction in accordance with AHS standards and practices. You will assign work of journeyperson and supervise staff and perform ongoing maintenance work in an area of assigned trade or related responsibility. In addition, you will provide health and safety training and orientation and ensure compliance.

**Required Qualifications**:
Completion of an accredited Journeyperson Certificate in trades from Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Five years maintenance experience in a hospital setting is an asset. Building Management System (BMS) experience. Delta Controls. Working knowledge of applicable building systems, hospital situations, hospital non-medical equipment and specialized areas. Previous supervisory or lead hand experience would be an asset. Prior experience in supervising/managing a multi-trade team in a Lead hand or equivalent role.
