**The primary purpose of the Brand PR Specialist is to coordinate and execute external PR communications and campaigns aligned with the Royal Canin North America business priorities and the Mars Purpose and Values**:
**What are we looking for?**:

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- 1-3 years relevant experience in communications, business, marketing, journalism or associated profession
- Ability to gather, synthesize, recommend and present data-driven insights
- Strong communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
- Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) required
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Possible travel, not to exceed 10% of time

**What will be your key responsibilities?**:

- Work with PR leads and Brand/Marketing teams to assist with building and activating tactical plans for the Royal Canin and Eukanuba brands
- Drive PR projects from conception to completion, bringing strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Develop PR and communication materials, like press releases, key messages, etc.
- Manage media inquiries and coordinate interview requests
- Assist in media training for corporate and brand spokespeople
- Develop social content and copy (all media and formats) for multiple external channels
- Cultivate strategic relationships and work closely with key influencers and partners to cross-promote social content
- Identify opportunities to leverage social media in new ways and continue to grow engagement with our online and enthusiast communities
- Use social analytics and insights to inform editorial opportunities
- Measure and report performance of PR and social campaigns, and assess against goals to continually optimize
- Foster relationships with and provide day-to-day direction to external communications agencies and vendors
- Partner with other cross-functional stakeholders
- Perform other functions or services as required or assigned
