**PRIMARY FUNCTION**

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor in a nutraceutical manufacturing plant. This role ensures that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and meet quality standards. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of production workers, coordinate production schedules, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and safety.

**JOB DUTIES AND TASKS**

1. Production Management
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Coordinate with the production manager to develop and implement production plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of raw materials and supplies.
- Maintain and oversee the maintenance of production equipment to ensure optimal performance.

2. Supervision and Leadership
- Lead, train, and supervise production staff to ensure they perform their duties effectively.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate production goals, updates, and safety protocols.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and high morale.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage employee schedules to meet production demands.

3. Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
- Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to the production manager.
- Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory requirements and company policies.

4. Quality Assurance
- Ensure that all products meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular quality checks and audits to identify and address any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to implement corrective and preventive actions.

5. Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCEED**
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with manufacturing software systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pass a criminal record check
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
