Our Team. Our Passion. Our Approach. Job Overview: The Project Manager II manages multi-million-dollar automated material handling projects in Warehouse Automation throughout North America. We are seeking an experienced, business-minded individual to join our team. This individual must have an entrepreneurial background and in-depth understanding of executing major material handling systems in a multi-disciplinary environment. We are a fast-paced matrixed organization seeking a Project Manager with not only the technical background to do the job but just as importantly work in a team environment. Project Manager II may report to a Project Director on a large program or directly manage smaller projects. Job Tasks & Responsibilities: - Lead administrative, technical, contractual, and financial aspects of the projects. - Lead, organize project teams, and effectively develop relationships. - Maintain integrated system design to meet technical and performance requirements. - Manage the project schedule to achieve timely completion of both internal and external commitments as well as hold customer accountable for their commitments. - Update project status. - Serve as the primary interface with customers and key stakeholders. - Organize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. - Lead a multi-disciplined team and sub-contractors; foster effective interactions among departments and provide the project team with leadership. - Effectively manage risks and opportunities. - Effectively manage projects, cash flow and schedule of deliverables against price curves. - Travel to the Project site on a regular basis to evaluate progress, maintain effective communication with the field staff and to customer’s sites to provide on-site field support and commissioning. Qualifications: - Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience with demonstrated growth and success. - Experience with completion of up to $50M sized projects in the Construction and/or Material Handling Industry. - Experience managing subcontractor work, schedules, and performance. - Must be willing and able to travel on average of 50%, and during project peek up to 80% depending on project needs. (Note: Most travel is done on weekdays). Preferred Qualifications: - BS Degree in Engineering or similar technical field. - PMP or P.E. Certification. - Experience with high-level scheduling. Knowledge-Skills-Abilities: - Ability to work with other departments and subcontractors in an effective and productive manner. - Strong stakeholder management; verbal and written communication skills. - Strong independent decision-making ability. - Ability to manage overall profit responsibility for the entire project. - Reads and thoroughly understands contracts, construction drawings and specifications.
