**Boundary Electric is looking for a Motor Technician to join our team** The Motor Technician will be responsible for contributing to the maintenance, repair, and testing of equipment on our production line. **Key functions**: - Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment. - Trouble shoot and repair faulty equipment. - Repair or replace components and wiring. - Test to ensure proper performance of equipment. - Perform on-site servicing and repair. - Wind, assemble and install various types of coils. - Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors. - Both AC/DC (High/Low voltage) motor repair. - Single phase and 3 phase (50 Hz and 760 Hz) Motor repair. - Trouble shoot and repair pumps. - Provide training and mentoring for apprentices. - Provide direct customer service including quotes. - Work under guidance of the Electrical Team Lead (ETL) and the Operations Manager (OM). - Communicate with the Electrical Team Lead and the Operations Manager. **Special Requirements**: - Previous experience in a similar role would be considered an asset. - Mechanically inclined. - Able to lift up to 50 pounds. - Strong organizational skills. - Strong safety mindset. **Education, Skills, and Attributes**: - Training or Experience in Electrical Motor Systems or a similar field would be considered an asset. - Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts. - Strong communication skills, written, and verbal. - Proven ability to work well under pressure and deadlines. - Able to multi-task and meet deadlines. - Be self-motivated and possess personal accountability. - Strong common sense and attention to detail. - Sound judgement. - Able to work full time.
