**Project Manager**

ODK Engineering is seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Headingley, MB. ODK Engineering is an Engineering firm specializing in project management, municipal engineering, and construction services on First Nation-related projects.

The successful applicant will lead the project team through various capital projects' planning, design, and construction phases.

**Responsibilities**:
Issue Terms of Reference to select design consultants for engineering or architectural services.

Act as chairperson for the Project Team and responsible for overall planning and control of the project, including the scope of work, schedule, budget, and quality of objectives.

Ensure documents are submitted and approved by regulating authorities.

Assist in maximizing local benefits, such as employment and training opportunities, local business opportunities, and utilization of local resources during construction implementation phase.

Administer tender calls and openings by the design consultants.

Arrange project meetings, chair meetings, and prepare and distribute meeting minutes. Keep a complete record of project details.

Provide technical and management support to the clients.

Ensure progress claims and interim and final certificates are administered.

Monitor the physical progress of the work. Prepare and certify monthly physical and financial reports.

Resolve any issues that may arise during construction. Review, verify and recommend change orders.

Ensure all workplace health and safety regulations are met.

Ensure warranty issues are adequately addressed.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Five years of related work experience in the planning, design and implementation of projects in the municipal infrastructure field;
Registered or eligible for registration as a professional engineer in Manitoba. Registration in other Canadian provinces is considered an asset;
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
Working knowledge of relevant municipal and guidance documents. Examples include City of Winnipeg Construction Contracts and Standard Construction Specifications, Province of Manitoba MIT Standard Construction Specifications;
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.

Ability to travel to remote projects.

Experience working with First Nation Communities.

Possession of a valid driver's license; and ability/willingness to undergo security clearance checks.

**Salary**: $50,537.84-$122,649.20 per year
