**Languages**:English

**Education**:Completion of secondary school is required, Completion of college in psychology or previous work experience in social service is an asset. First Aid Certification is required.

**Specific Skills and Work Performance**
- Provide caring companionship to regular clients and clients with special needs such as Alzheimer and/or dementia
- Provide safe social outings to clients for medical appointments, social events, and general outings.
- Offer emotional support and assistance to clients for suitable daily exercise and activities such as going for a walk or grocery shopping.
- Plan and prepare meals and special diets, and feed or assist in feeding clients.
- Administer bedside and personal care to clients such as aid in ambulation, bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing and undressing
- May perform routine health-related duties such as changing non-sterile dressings, assisting in the administration of medications, and collecting specimens under the general direction of home care agency supervisor or nurse.
- May perform routine housekeeping duties such as laundry, washing dishes and making beds.
- Knowledge of lifts (ceiling lifts/ overhead lifts)
- Report to and assist managers for issues and daily job duties.
