**Position Overview**:
A logistics coordinator is responsible for managing all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, specifically with regard to customer satisfaction. As a logistic coordinator, customer satisfaction is a priority as this is how business remains successful. Additionally, a logistic coordinator is well-versed in supply management principles and practices. Responding immediately to customer questions and complaints and notifying them of any delays in the delivery schedule is essential to this position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Brokering freight for Canadian and US Customers for both LTL and FTL shipments
- Building and maintaining relationships with carriers
- Performing both local and long dispatching for a mix of Trucks for your routes
- Following up on Purchasing Orders, due dates and status
- Managing all inbound and outbound activities for your routes
- Liaise with clients, vendors and third parties on shipment requirements and ensuring shipments are handled on a timely basis
- Prepare receiving and shipping documents and export container load plan
- Maintain quality results by following export standards, procedures, and regulations
- Prepare all necessary documentation required for freight movement
- Monitor shipment movements, strong follow up required
- Active involvement with problem-solving of issues
- Sales aptitude and a professional phone manner required
- Maintaining contact with customers throughout the duration of the order and communicating both positive and negative occurrences
- Performing warehouse and document audits to ensure compliance and functioning operations
- Working with a variety of departments to ensure functioning operations

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of different types of equipment for transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a face paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (Must be fluent in English)
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook is a must (ERP, Microsoft NAV is an asset)
- Experience with Food Industry is an asset
