**General Information**:
Hitachi Energy Canada Inc. is seeking a Payroll Analyst for its Saint-Laurent, Canada location. This position is responsible for payroll analysis and reconciliations, processing payroll related journal entries, supporting and answering questions for the Business, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and procedures, as well as external regulatory requirements
**Responsibilities**:
- General accounting
- Responsible for payroll analysis and reconciliations
- Communicate with the Business and get some confirmation, validation on various accounting bookings
- Periodic review of provisions related to payroll
- Oversee the process for invoicing payroll and respective reconciliations
- Analysis and allocations of benefits
- Generate schedule needed for monthly payroll reporting
- Analysis and process change
- Provide information for the External auditors
- Provide support and answer questions for the Business
- Teamwork ability and cooperation with others to achieve organizational objectives
- Responsible for uploading payroll GL’s to the system
- Interim payroll lead for GL’s with Reiwa implementation
- Responsible for sign off on payroll controls
**Qualifications**:
- College diploma in accounting.
- Five (5) or more years of experience with general ledger functions and the month end close process. Highly prefer experience in large multinational companies.
- Advanced analytical skills.
- Personal soft skills.
- SAP and S/4 HANA experience is highly preferred.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confidential information / High sense of discretion needed.
- System experience and process improvement experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French and English).
- Promote professional ownership of services provided to business partners.
