**Position Summary**
In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, the Psychological Health and Safety (PHS) Project Manager, Workplace, Health & Safety (WH&S) is responsible for providing support and leadership to the key initiative of Psychological Health and Safety within Interior Health (IH). The Project Manager follows standard project management practices, ensuring IH processes are followed, constraints (scope, time, cost, and quality) are controlled, initiative issues and risks are managed, and changes are properly managed and authorized. The Project Manager will lead and manage a variety of process analysis and improvement initiatives including Occupational Health & Safety regulatory compliance, Collective Agreement adherence and, Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace - CSA Z-1003-13 implementation.
The Project Manager will be required to travel and collaborate with both internal and external partners. Additionally, in collaboration with leadership, the Project Manager will develop and oversee an IH Psychological Health and Safety (PHS) implementation plan along with briefing papers and reports, steering and advisory committee leadership.
**TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Develop PHS project and implementation plans to implement Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace - CSA Z-1003-13 standard, and establish associated objectives and goals to ensure success.
2. Applies knowledge and experience in process review and analysis to recommend system and process improvements to programs and initiatives. Ensures improvement initiatives are completed in a timely manner and result in quantifiable improvements.
3. Analyzes business initiatives and opportunities and provides feedback on the feasibility and requirements for the achievement of objectives. Maps out alignment with future direction and ensures initiatives are aligned with other cross-functional organizational initiatives and business/improvement strategies.
4. Identifies and promotes the expedited resolution to problems or barriers to enable successful project/ change completion and transformation.
5. Lead IH Psychological Health and Safety Steering and Advisory Committees, and participate in related provincial committees.
6. Provides updates on the implementation and issues of key strategic initiatives. Prepares reports, briefings, and presentations, researching elements as required.
7. Collaborates with department and portfolio leaders for a coordinated and strategic approach to the planning and implementation of strategic initiatives.
8. Promotes consistent processes and continuous Lean improvement of practices.
9. Collaborates with departments to identify, develop, implement, evaluate, and report on the impact and outcomes of strategic initiatives.
10. Monitors implementation plans, measuring progress towards goals and objectives and identifying key factors that account for deviation from stated goals and objectives, working with other key departments on process implementation.
11. Works collaboratively with change management experts to ensure the integration of sound change principles in all initiatives. Provides project management expertise to guide and support the implementation of initiatives.
12. Establishes partnerships with internal partners (Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committees, Senior Health & Safety Committee, Organizational development, Clinical Operations, Employee experience) and external (WorkSafeBC, Provincial Health Care Unions, other health authorities) stakeholders.
13. Ensures compliance with collective agreements, government regulations, Ministry of Health directives and applicable policies and procedures with regard to safety.
14. Leads the PHS project and develops guidelines, templates, and critical activity pathways; and makes recommendations for action.

**Qualifications**
**Education, Training, and Experience**:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a health-related and/or occupational health and safety discipline.
- Five to seven years of recent related experience working in a healthcare environment, including project management, change management, quality improvement, general health and safety and experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
- Coursework/experience/knowledge in Project Management.
- Coursework/experience/knowledge in Psychological Health and Safety.
- Experience working collaboratively and successfully with medical staff and medical leaders is preferred.
**Skills and Abilities**:
- Working knowledge of applicable regulations, CSA Standards, legislation, policies and procedures, including sound knowledge of contemporary and best practice approaches in occupational health and wellness and psychological safe
