**Role**: Analyst - EDI/Inventory/AR
**Status**: Full-Time, Regular
**Department**: Treasury and A/R Reporting
**Location**: Markham - Hybrid
**Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager, this position is responsible for EDI analysis, supplier relationships, optimization of the EDI processes and processing of Inventory and Accounts Receivable transactions.
Position Dimensions
- Working primarily with Operations, External Vendors and Accounting
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Preferable business/accounting designation or equivalent, or combination of education and experience of 3-5 years in a related role
- Demonstrated ability to understand EDI process. Previous EDI experience is an asset
- Experience with GERS is an asset
- Superior communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Must be a team player capable of building both internal and external relationships
- Excellent presentation skills for educating internal/external vendors
- Must work well independently to meet deadlines
- Superior problem solving and investigative skills
- Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
- Must be prepared to work in a fast paced environment
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
- Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
Specific Accountabilities
- Develop and implement better ways to optimize EDI process with suppliers
- Maintain vendor accounts in good standing
- Develop, deploy and manage key performance metrics; monitoring performance and identifying key problem areas from how we order supplies, inventory and services to how we pay suppliers
- Build supplier relationships through EDI and look for opportunities to expand the EDI process to include other vendors
- Prepare and reconcile weekly lockbox deposits/settlements
- Processing and reconciliation of AR transactions including NSF and customer refund requisitions
- Support sales posting process while working closely with operations team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities
- Project work as required
