Digital Marketing Intern

**Purpose of the Position**

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Digital Marketing Intern will also assist in developing and implementing our annual marketing strategy.

**Responsibilities & Duties**

Assist the Director in the development and implementation of marketing, digital and social media strategies which include but are not limited to:
**Marketing**
- Assist to organize, coordinate and attend trade shows and events
- Assisting to prepare and coordinate the delivery and managing of all marketing material (digital and print)
- Creation of marketing materials to support the consistent image of North Star Air at all times
- Ensure high standard of quality and consistent corporate image and branding in all published documents and other media, and throughout product lines, promotional materials, website, social media platforms, and events
- Content management and distribution on Internet and traditional media including maintaining files and documentation at all times

**Website**
- Facilitate website updates including new product content and images
- Coordinate and write content
- Monitor Google Ad-works for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

**Social media**
- Promote brand awareness and increase online reputation and increase overall engagement
- Create and maintain a social media editorial calendar and posting schedule
- Facilitate online conversations on social media with customers and respond to questions
- Collect and compile all details for new product categories including photos and build content
- Create engaging and visually appealing graphics for use in social media posts, marketing campaigns, ads for publication
- Manage content distribution on social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube including but not limited to website, video production, etc.

**Other expectations**
- Assist and coordinate press releases, advertisements, and other marketing initiatives
- Assist with public relations, First Nation relations, special projects, presentations, and proposals as required
- Conduct research for the sales and marketing department as needed
- Assist with the planning/development of marketing programs and campaigns
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Assist in developing and/or updating company marketing material, publications as needed
- Coordinate projects to ensure completion in a timely manner
- Other related duties as assigned by the Director

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Working towards a degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- At least 1 year of experience in a related position preferred
- Strong skills in video creating programs (e.g. Adobe Premier Pro, etc)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to organize and maintain filing systems and Excel databases
- Detail oriented and able to accurately proofread marketing material
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to prioritize assignments
- Highly motivated and creative in development of marketing material
- Show proven knowledge and experience managing promotional content for websites and various social media platforms

**Job Types**: Part-time, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 3-6 months
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: From $18.64 per hour
