**Responsibilities**:
PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Supervisor, Testing & Commissioning (T&C) serves as the primary contact with the BSCGP T&C Director in overseeing the assignment, scheduling, and leadership of BCRTC resources for the Broadway Subway Project (BSP). This role involves developing and executing testing and commissioning plans, coordinating access for staff and subcontractors, and leading various BSP activities. The supervisor is responsible for preparing and providing necessary documentation, maintaining schedules, and managing staff meetings and complaints. Additionally, they ensure compliance with safety practices, document safety concerns, and communicate schedule updates. The supervisor manages and is responsible for all train movements, collaborating with BCRTC BSP leadership on schedule approvals, while addressing any deficiencies or deviations observed during T&C activities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Serves as the primary contact between BCRTC and the BSCGP T&C Director for the scheduling, assignment, supervision and leading of BCRTC T&C resources (including O&M staff and rolling stock) for all tasks performed by the T&C Team on the BSP project.

Works directly with the BSCGP T&C Director to develop test procedures, test requirements, provides all testing and commissioning plans for execution by the T&C team, writing associated completion or deficiency reports.

Coordinates and supervises access for BSCGP staff and subcontractors for installation, inspection, and testing of BSP systems and equipment on Existing SkyTrain System site(s).

Provides weekly updated schedules to the BCRTC T&C Team for coordinating work efforts, outlining work site(s), system(s) for testing and hours outlined by day.

Reviews BSP 30/90-day lookahead schedules, leads monthly and ad hoc staff meetings with T&C Staff, documents meeting minutes and manages actions to completion.

Coordinates the preparation and provision of necessary documentation, such as Preparation and provision of FMIs/TCIs, Site Acceptance Test (SAT), Site Integration Test (SIT) and Post Installation Check-out (PICO) documents, Three-week Lookaheads (3WLA), Human Resource Request and Train Request Forms (HRRF / TRF).

Attends BSP T&C Working Group and related BSP committee meetings as required.

Investigates and documents all safety concerns, participates in incident/safety investigations, disciplinary and/or grievance processes with conclusions and required actions communicated to BSCGP Site Safety Officer and BCRTC Safety Department.

Reviews and authorizes T&C team overtime, vacation and leaves of absence, with input from T&C Director to ensure alignment with BSP needs.

Provides day-to-day supervision of reporting staff, including selection, training, coaching, development, performance management and all other people management practices.

The BCRTC T&C Team will continue to follow all BCRTC corporate policies, rules, collective agreements, and safety practices while deployed on the BSP project.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

A valid BC Class 5 driver’s license.

Obtain and maintain Operational Currency.

Stay current on all BCRTC Core training, including rules and safety.

Complete and/or maintain Supervisory course - SafeStart (MyLearn) and WorkSafeBC Supervising for Safety.

Experience from a unionized environment and complying to collective agreement.

Fulfill all duties and meet expectations for BCRTC SMS, WorkSafe, Attendance, and performance management.

Proven record of experience in testing and commissioning, start-up of equipment or systems, troubleshooting, managing resources and coordinating tasks, preferably with experience in construction and installation of power distribution, communication an
