**Provincial Supports Coordinator**
Location: 12308 111 Avenue #200, Edmonton, Alberta
Position Status: Full Time (40 hrs per week), Permanent
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the FASD Bridging Connections Program.
- Compile up to date research to increase knowledge and awareness about FASD.
- Support the development and ongoing maintenance of policies and practices that align with the requirements established by the Alberta FASD Service Network Program.
- Maintain accurate data systems to collect and track both referrals and connections.
- Develop culturally appropriate Métis-specific resources.
- Facilitate and host FASD-related workshops across Alberta.
- Connect program participants to, and advocate for, access to community resources.
- Connect with FASD support organizations to ensure Métis children, youth, adults, and families are connected to Métis culture, community, and adequate resources.
- Deliver Métis cultural awareness training to FASD support organizations serving Métis children, youth, adults, and families.
- Network with both internal and external stakeholders to develop and/or maintain partnership opportunities for Métis Albertans accessing supports and services.
- Complete quarterly and final reports, as necessary.
- Attend and participate in meetings and committees as required.
- Participate and represent the Otipemisiwak Métis Government in community engagement and other opportunities.
- Complete additional tasks as required.
**Skills and Competencies**
- Demonstrated experience in research and data compilation.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and an ability to effectively produce professional documents, reports, and presentations.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing programs, including planning and facilitating community engagements, workshops, and presentations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to be flexible and allocate time and resources effectively.
- Strong ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- A proven track record of building collaborative, positive relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including clients, industry, service providers, and community.
- Ability to maintain a positive, helpful attitude and be empathetic and non-judgmental when assisting Métis Albertans.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Political and cultural sensitivity.
- Knowledge of Métis history, culture, and issues affecting Métis people. An in-depth understanding of the Otipemisiwak Métis Government and Métis culture, people, and values.
**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, or related field.
- Two (2) years’ experience working in the Human Services field.
- Indigenous Awareness Training is an asset.
- Working knowledge of the Child and Youth Enhancement Act, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and Protection of Personal Information Act.
**Other Requirements**
- Position will be based in Edmonton.
- Ability to work a regular schedule from Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends as required.
- Some travel within Alberta is a requirement. Additional less frequent out-of-province travel may also occur, with notice.
- Must have a driver’s license and an operational vehicle.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check with renewal every two years is required.
- Clear Child Intervention Record Check with renewal every two years is required.
