Alpha Auto Group is a rapidly growing company and one of the leading privately owned automotive dealer groups in North America. The company operates 15 large scale dealerships in both Canada and the U.S., representing a suite of luxury and volume focused OEM brands from Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW to Toyota, Honda, Ford and Subaru and looking to double in size within the next 12 months.
Due to continued growth at both domestic and international markets, the company is seeking a talented and ambitious person to work in the capacity of a **Financial Planning and Analysis Associate.** Driving the business results from managerial accounting and planning perspective, this position will work directly with the Accounting and dealer level management team in performing a wide range of financial and operational analysis, budgeting and managerial reporting. While the role is remote, there will be occasional travel within the GTA for this position. This role directly reports to the CFO.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support the decision-making process by delivering accurate and timely data, analysis, and recommendations.
- Develop new metrics and improve the efficiency of metric reporting across the organization.
- Assist with the evaluation of potential acquisitions.
- Support the creation of presentations to management and external stakeholders.
- Create and maintain various managerial and financial analysis and reporting.
- Create financial forecast budgets and provide regular budget forecast updates and budget achievement.
- Collaborate with Accounting on the month-end close process and related analysis.
- Ad hoc projects and other duties assigned by CFO.
**Qualifications**
- 3+ years of experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) position or accounting firm with experience in the automotive or retail sector, ideally within an industry with multi-retail points.
- Strong preference and priority given to those who hold a CPA designation.
- CA, CFA preferred but not required.
- Bachelor or master’s degree in finance/Accounting or Business Administration.
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint to create financial models & analysis and add-in functionalities to support business initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Self-starter with rigor to succeed.
- Detail and process oriented with strong problem solving, analytical and numerical skills.
**Salary**: From $90,000.00 per year
