Specialist - Technology Support Services

As the Specialist - Technology Support Services you are a trusted advisor and technical support professional for the WESCO Global Solutions business. You will be a member of the Technology Support Services team that is the first tier of support in all our technologies. The team are technical advisors to our sales organizations. While also supporting the Corporate Marketing, Supply Chain Solutions and Category Management groups as Subject Matter Experts. **Responsibilities** - Deliver credibility and value to our customers in the education and positioning of solutions for technology in various markets. - Works closely with Sales and key suppliers to build effective solutions that meet the customer expectations and future needs. Educates sales of all the key areas the team supports to get wide and deep in all customer engagements. - Evaluates each project opportunity and determines the resource requirements to fulfill the tasks. Escalates projects to the Second Tier Advanced Technology Support (ATS) specialist when a project is complex, strategic or global in nature. Work closely with the ATS team to provide deliverables to meet customer timelines and expectations. - The individual will engage all sales opportunities or support requests from any country or region. The Technology Support Services team has specialists throughout the globe in various technologies that can be pulled into any project anywhere as the need arises. - The individual will be required to support the Global Training Program in both a trainer and participant role. - The individual will help sales identify and position Supply Chain Solutions to help CSS, EES and UBS maximize sales potential and profitability. **Experience**: - Minimum 5 years experience in the technical field of expertise in design, implementation and/or commissioning. **Education**: - College Diploma or commensurate years of technical and/or managerial experience required; Licenses/Certificates/Designations - based on their technical field of expertise - Bachelor’s Degree preferred - Technical or engineering discipline, or commensurate years of technical experience / **Qualifications**: - Possess a customer-centric mindset. - Possess fundamental computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. - Demonstrate strong technical skills and the ability to make recommendations within the designated area of responsibility. - Certifications in technical field of expertise - Microsoft Visio - BICSI RCDD or Industry Equivalent. **Travel**: - 0-10% of the time - WESCO International, Inc., including its subsidiaries and affiliates ("WESCO"), is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
