Position Overview:
As a Level 2 Small Component Rebuild Technician at OEM Remanufacturing, you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, rebuilding, and performing basic repairs on small engine components.
**Job Description**:
- Operate basic service tools as well as all critical analog measuring devices including dial bore gauges and inside and outside micrometers
- Major steps include, but are not limited to: inspection, completion of evaluation documentation and full cycle remanufacturing relative to supplied instructions
Qualifications:
- Must have experience in an assembly/disassembly environment
- HET Apprentice or related experience would be preferred
- Ability to dismantle, quote, prepare salvage and assemble engine small components (e.g. dampeners, couplers water pumps, turbochargers) and/or powertrain small components (e.g. gear pumps, vane pumps, control valves)
- Proficient with service tools as well as all critical analog measuring devices including dial bore gauges and inside and outside micrometers
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds
- CAT engine experience (disassembly, inspection, assembly) considered an asset
- Knowledge of both internal and external small components considered an asset
- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
Note:
- This posting is for a static weekend shift; Friday-Sunday 12 hours per day.
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
