Vancouver, Canada Venn Environmental Ltd. Full time

**Position Overview**:
Venn Environmental is looking for a motivated and passionate Environmental Scientist to join our team and help drive our growth. In this role, you'll have the chance work on projects monitoring, investigating, and remediating contaminated sites across British Columbia.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Participate in all facets of contaminated sites projects, including preliminary & detailed site investigations and remediation
- Conducting occasional field work including soil, groundwater, soil vapour and sediment investigations, monitoring programs and overseeing site remediation
- Coordination and supervision of field staff and subcontractors
- Compilation, analysis and interpretation of environmental data and preparation of technical reports for senior review

**Desirable experience or Skills may include**:

- Experience with ESdat
- Familiarity with Federal regulatory regime for contaminated Sites
- Experience with risk assessment
- Registration (or eligible for registration) with BCIA, CAB, ASTTBC, or similar professional body
- Experience working with Indigenous Nations in BC, the Yukon, and/or communities across Canada

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a post-secondary program (degree or diploma) in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Geoscience, Agrology, or a related field
- 3+ years experience in contaminated site assessment and remediation consulting (with preference to experience working in BC)
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Dependable attention to important details, with a strong focus on accuracy
- The ability to make sound, defensible decisions in the field and independently troubleshoot
- Strong technical writing skills
- Physically capable of performing the duties required during field programs and able to work in all weather conditions
- The ability to travel within BC and work extended hours is a requirement of the role
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license

Pay: $57,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
