**Job Type: Contract, In-Home Care**
**Schedule: Two 42-hour shifts per week**

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated **Health Care Aide (HCA)** to provide in-home personal care and respite support to a client in **Smoky Lake, Alberta**. This role involves working **two 42-hour shifts per week** to ensure the client receives continuous, high-quality care in a comfortable home environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with **activities of daily living**:

- Support **medication reminders** and monitor the client’s general well-being.
- Prepare **nutritious meals**.
- Offer **companionship and emotional support** to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Perform **light housekeeping** duties related to the client’s care (e.g., laundry, tidying up).
- Observe and report any changes in the client’s health status to the appropriate contacts.
- Provide **respite care**, allowing family caregivers to have a break.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Current **First Aid & CPR Certification**.
- Valid **driver’s license and reliable transportation**:

- Experience in home care, seniors' care, or disability support is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused approach to care.
- Ability to work **long shifts** and remain attentive to the client's needs.

**Compensation**:

- $15/hour ($630 per 42-hour shift, including sleeping-hours)
