**About us**

The Cultivated B (TCB) is a highly innovative and science-driven biotechnology and bioengineering company from Germany, focusing on developing and manufacturing high-precision systems for cellular agriculture and pharmaceutical industry.

Our recently opened facility in Burlington, ON, is focused on the development and production of bioreactors, photobioreactors and advanced machineries for cellular agriculture and precision fermentation. Our integrated R&D center within the same facility is an Ontario hub for innovation in bioprocess design and optimization, plant-based engineering, food technology and scaled alternative protein production.

The Production Manager is responsible for achieving the best results while maintaining high standards in safety, quality assurance, schedule attainment and operational efficiency. Through effective communication, drive and determination, this position is responsible to utilize current knowledge and skills, along with experience to set clear expectations, efficient planning, production oversight, coaching, counseling, and people management.

The Production Manager and supporting team members must ensure that the safety of our employees or the quality of our products is never compromised.

This role requires technical problem solving and innovation while working within approved organizational procedures, quality standards and technology.

**Responsibilities**
- Manufacturing line set up, particularly in stainless steel vessels, electromechanical parts, mills and lathes
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and the Company Health & Safety Roles and Responsibilities
- Effectively supervise General Labourers and Skilled Workers
- Ensure all product orders are filled completely and are manufactured in accordance with the organizational standards for safety and high quality
- Train and coach employees to produce high quality products as set by the company's standards
- Understand the production schedule to plan and assign personnel based on the daily production requirements and revise the plan as required
- Inform the Plant Manager of any foreseeable issues that may arise in production safety, quality, schedule or cost
- Report results of the shift production to the Plant Manager and track the daily labour against target
- Ensure teams are operating at the best possible level and production goals are being achieved
- Look for, recommend, and implement process improvements
- Analyze and help resolve issues brought forward by workers in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Liaise with other departments to ensure that plant expectations as well as internal and external customer expectations are met

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in the capacity of a supervisory role o managerial role.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in the steel and vessel manufacturing industry
- Engineering technology experience is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and review engineering plans
