All Things Speech Inc. is a pediatric speech therapy practice in South Burnaby, BC, operating as part of Lifelong Health Ltd., which opened in July 2023. The aim of the practice is to provide individualized and functional support to children and their families for various speech and language difficulties. Working together with clients and their families to set their communication goals and then work towards them is of utmost importance. All Things Speech is a neurodiversity-affirming practice - we strive to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all of our clients and their families.

We are seeking one passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or Communication Disorders Assistant (CDA) to join our team part-time or casually to begin (with opportunity to grow into full-time hours). Most clients would be seen in the community (daycare/preschool/school setting) in the Burnaby/New West area. They may also be seen at the clinic, depending on availability. Group sessions and workshops may be run at the clinic or at various locations in the Burnaby/New West area.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologists with executing treatment programs for clients in their homes and/or educational settings.
- Assist in group sessions and/or workshops, as needed.
- Consult with the Speech-Language Pathologist regularly regarding the progress of therapy sessions for clients.
- Prepare activities and materials for therapy sessions.
- Help create therapy materials as needed.
- Maintain and clean resources as needed
- Document client progress in a timely manner and maintain accurate records using an EMR (Jane App).

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Therapy Assistant Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of early child development and experience working with children of various types of neurodiversity such as ASD, ADHD, etc.
- Ability to successfully work independently and under some supervision.
- Ability to maintain successful working relationships; ability to meet and interact with people in a pleasant, professional, responsible, and reassuring manner, tact, courtesy, and alertness in public contacts.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively (both orally and written).
- Must be able to commute to various educational settings.

A Criminal Record Check will need to be completed prior to starting.
