**Reporting to**:

- Accounts Payable Manager

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for full accounts payable cycle
- Matching invoices to their backup & Purchase Orders
- Verification of accuracy
- Ensuring proper approval
- Assign proper GL coding
- Entering invoices in the AP/Accounting system
- Preparing payments (cheques/ACH)
- Responsible for vendor maintenance
- Verify new vendor and vendor change requests
- Enter new vendors in AP/Accounting system
- Maintain and update vendor contact and bank information
- Maintain records of payment registers, payment confirmations, and other reports per audit requirements
- Ensuring company policies & SOX compliance is met with regards to purchases exists at all times, prior to processing an invoice in the system.
- Communication with vendors as needed to reconcile, resolve disputed invoices and answer questions.
- Communicate effectively with all departments and senior management to ensure payables are up to date.
- Month end closing as required including accruals or any other ad-hoc analyses.
- Other tasks as may be required by the department

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Minimum two years of experience processing Accounts Payable
- Strong excel skills
- Highly organized, analytical and detail oriented.
- Able to work in a fast pace environment with multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience working with ORACLE is an asset
- Minimum two years of experience processing Accounts Payable
