**Some of what you will do**:
The Director of Space Planning will be responsible for managing the overall planning and allocation of store space (inline & off shelf) in an approach that optimizes sales & margin per square foot while balancing immediate space demands & future growth projections / opportunities. They will also drive opportunities for innovation in store design, layout & off shelf programs to improve customer experience and drive sales and margin (including vendor monetization opportunities).

The role will spearhead store standards to ensure consistent execution and experience in all stores, partner with Design & Construction on new formats, manage internal test store and own product lifecycle management (including POG releases, line reviews, product exist strategies) from start to finish.

Lastly the role will support the transformation of the merchandising functions by participating in key project workstreams with the goal of become a customer first & data driven organization supported by leading retail processes & capabilities.

This role will be a key partner to multiple teams and this role is a strong connector across Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, FP&A and Operations teams.

**Specifically, You Will**:

- Lead the design and implementation of store layouts, collaborate with merchandising and operations teams, and develop innovative space solutions to drive store performance.
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing product placement and planogram execution across all retail locations.
- Oversee the development of store-specific planograms by the team, ensuring they are aligned with consumer trends, sales data, and market demands.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Chain Team to identify account target list, product opportunities and ensure their placement in store layouts.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and according to planogram specifications.Leverage a comprehensive understanding of business problems and opportunities and undertake special projects as assigned.

**Some of what you need**:

- Successful completion of a quantitative post-secondary education, with a focus on retail management, economics, inventory or supply chain is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of space management principles and analytical techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a space planning team and train on space planning tools and technology.
- Expert-level capability in JDA/Blue Yonder Space Planning and related tools.
- 10+ years progressive experience in retail.
- Minimum of 3+ years in a management /leadership role.3+ years of managing multi-level team.
