**Job Title: Production Associate**
**Reports To**:Production Supervisor
**Location**: Whitby, Ontario

Full time Positions available If you want to be a part of the Pilkington Production Team, we are currently looking for Afternoon shift (2:30pm - 10:30pm) Team Members. With a starting wage of $18.50 per hour and a shift premium on top of that, once you have completed your probation hours, Health, Dental, and Vision care benefits kick in immediately. We also pay you for your breaks and lunch. Get paid for 8 hours and work for 7 Other benefits to joining our Team include: Company provided safety shirts for each day of the week, prescription safety glasses and safety shoes allowance, Employer/Employee contribution Registered Pension Plan, and monthly engagement and team building activities.

If you don’t have Automotive assembly experience, it’s okay, as we have excellent trainers that will support you through the onboarding process.

**Responsibilities**:

- As a production team member, you will be processing / assembling automotive parts through a production line. You will be trained on the Standard Operating Procedures for the jobs that you will be doing and are expected to follow those procedures to ensure Safety and Quality.
- Review all customer guidelines for quality and special conditions for supply of production components. Maintain ongoing understanding of all changes to and/or updates to production processes and customer specifications.
- Assist other members of the Team as needed, to complete customer orders.
- Maintain work areas to 5S standards for Safety, quality, and productivity. Assist colleagues as needed to support 5S.
- Be actively involved with Continuous Improvement Program and participate in Kaizen events as scheduled.
- Clearly communicate with a team to ensure all levels of Customer expectations are achieved.
- Keep accurate records specific details as needed.
- A positive, can-do attitude. We always have challenges and we overcome them as a Team working together.
- Above all else, a love of learning and drive for participating in on-going process improvement.

Qualifications:

- A great attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good Attendance in a must As an important part of our Team, we need you here
- Must be able to stand for 8 or more hours.
- Ability to work in high volume assembly line in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Manual dexterity, ability to lift 20-40lbs repetitive daily.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
