Are you interested in being at the forefront of a new offshore renewable energy sector in Nova Scotia, Canada? We have an exciting and new opportunity for an Analyst, Engagement to join the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Energy Regulator (CNSOER) as we are now responsible for the regulation of offshore renewable energy development in the Canada-Nova Scotia offshore area.

The CNSOER is in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and is the independent joint agency of the Governments of Canada and Nova Scotia responsible for the regulation of renewable energy and oil and gas exploration and development activities that take place in the Canada-Nova Scotia offshore area.

The Analyst, Engagement reports to the Advisor, Communications and is responsible for supporting engagement activities, establishing and administering a participant funding program, and working closely with Indigenous groups and rights holders, fishers, and other stakeholders.

**The responsibilities include**:

- Support the development and implementation of engagement plans for CNSOER work activities and collaborate with the Advisor, Communications, on the development of supporting communications plans.
- Support community engagement efforts, including organizing and attending community events, liaising with Indigenous groups and rights holders, fishers, industry, and other stakeholders.
- Establish feedback mechanisms, assess, and evaluate the effectiveness of engagement efforts, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes.
- Support and collaborate with the Advisor, Communications, on the development of messaging and communications materials for specific work activity areas and land tenure processes.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of a Participant Funding Program, ensuring alignment with community needs, project goals and available funds.
- Engage with, build, and maintain relationships with Indigenous groups and rights holders, fishers, and other stakeholders in relation to projects you support.
- University/college degree in public relations, communications, business management with a marketing focus, or a related field.
- A minimum of three to five years of experience in communications, community engagement, or a related field.
- Certification from the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) considered an asset.
- Experience developing and implementing communication and engagement programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage, build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience engaging with Indigenous groups and rights holders considered an asset.
- Experience with developing, implementing and administering Participant Funding Programs is considered an asset.
