This is a full-time support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Associate Director, Research Operations working 35 hours per week at an hourly rate of $38.76.

**Specific Accountabilities**:
Reporting to the Dean of Applied Research and Innovation, the incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing a wide range of research activities that support the College’s strategic directions. The incumbent is responsible for the operations of the related applied research laboratories, the training, scheduling, and coordination of staff and students, technicians, and the maintenance of all lab equipment and supplies. The incumbent also works directly with customers, faculty and students in support of project delivery and provides full support of maintenance, calibration, operation, purchasing, of the college’s research laboratories and specialized supporting equipment. The incumbent prepares and coordinates activities for multiple research labs to ensure research lab resources are effectively used and adequately maintained. The incumbent acts as the primary research technologist and coordinates the logistics for various applied research projects.

**Qualifications**:
Three year Chemical Production Engineering Technology or Instrumentation Control Engineering Technology or CET (Chemical Engineering Technician) Program diploma or Equivalent.
Three years research lab experience in addition to excellent organizational skills.
