**Our Company**

Owned and operated by two retired Toronto paramedics, canaPHEM is a Event Medical and Health and Safety provide paramedics to concerts, sporting events, etc.

- _Provides comprehensive PCP and ACP medical directives_

- _Medics are insured to drive our non-transport ambulance_
- _canaPHEM also offers a variety of services including; **Health and Safety consulting and training, First Aid/CPR training, paramedic education and development, Event Medic services (Film and TV, sporting events, concerts etc) as well as the distribution of PPE and medical devices**._

- _The position title will be**:Primary Care Medic**_
- _This position is Casual_

**Responsibilities**:

- _Work at film sites, sporting events, concerts und the medical authority of canaPHEM medical director_
- _Perform N95 mask fit testing - (training provided)_
- _Perform asymptomatic COVID rapid testing on film sets, industries, construction sites and other locations (training provided)_
- _Under the delegation of canaPHEM medical director, following all delegated controlled acts as an Advanced Care and Primary Care Medic, outlined in the Ontario Advanced Life Support Patient Care Standards (ALS PCS)_
- _Punctual for courses, events, and bookings_
- _Follows all canaPHEM policy and procedures, as well as event medic policy and procedures_
- _Undertakes inventory control of stock before and after each shift_
- _Reports malfunctioning or damaged equipment_
- _Safely meeting or exceeding response time standards, when asked to respond to an emergency call_
- _Preparing and submitting reports (PCR, Minor Injury Report, Incident Report) in a timely fashion._
- _Is presentable & willing desire to teach_
- _Follows dress code for all events and courses_
- _Ensuring the stocking and safeguarding of vehicles, equipment, supplies and medications_
- _Signs equipment in/out for each assigned shift, using proper documentation_
- _Attends all continuing medical education days (CME), or other training days_
- _Other duties as assigned_

**Qualifications**:

- _Ontario Community College (2-year program) or Ontario Private College (1-year program) Diploma in Emergency Health Care/Paramedicine_
- _EMCA/AEMCA Certification in the Province of Ontario or in progress of obtaining AEMCA_
- _Valid CPR level C / Standard First Aid_
- _All qualifications that meet the requirements of the Ambulance Act and related Regulations including being free from communicable diseases and having a clear criminal record_
- _Class G or F driver’s license to drive any canaPHEM vehicles with less than 6 demerit points or prohibition from driving under the criminal code_
- _Ability to meet and maintain Health requirements as set by the Ambulance Act_
- _Physical ability to provide patient care and transport._
- _Vulnerable sector check, annually_
- _Ability to consistently provide 5 weekdays and 1 partial weekend per month_
