Your Contribution

As an Equipment Manager, you will work in collaboration with the Tank Testing and Calibration team

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Manage all aspects of fleet management including acquisition of new vehicles, track maintenance and cost, regulatory and corporate policy compliance and driver performance
- Manage the ARI geotab and fleet efficiency metrics software system
- Retro-fit new vehicles with equipment to convert them to test units, vehicle maintenance coordiation, deliver and outfitting with safety equipment
- Build and maintain all equipment used in the testing and calibration field operations including sourcing and coordinating outside suppliers and service providers required to build and maintain the equipment
- Install and supervise installation and removal of equipment from trucks
- Tracking the certification of all devices such as thermometers, provers, and other third party certified devices
- Monitor and manage device maintenance to reduce downtime and assure that documentation is kept up to date to assist in planning and design improvement
- Manage the recertification process for all Measurement Canada regulated devices including precertification repairs
- Supervise and utilize shop personnel to assist in all tasks including but not limited to supervisory tasks such as time sheets, expense approval, annual performance appraisals and other tasks related to supervision
- Participate in regularly scheduled management meetings to represent the issues related to the role

Your Profile
- Journeyman papers in a related field (tool making or machinist) would be an assset
- Experience trouble shooting mechanical and electronic systems
- Working understanding of electronic components
- Supervisory experience
- Welding, acetylene and soldering experience
