Reporting to the HR Generalist, the HR Assistant is responsible for providing efficient, accurate and confidential administrative support to the Human Resources department and will assist with the following areas: recruiting, onboarding, training and various related administrative duties.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy for all employee and company documentation.
- Participate in the successful recruitment of new employees including:

- updating job descriptions prior to posting
- posting roles on external recruitment portals
- screening applicant resumes
- scheduling interviews
- conducting interviews
- assisting with skills assessments as required.
- Assist with new employee onboarding process including:

- scheduling orientation sessions
- creating and organizing onboarding material
- assigning online training using HR training tool
- act as the key contact on the employee’s first day and ensure their first day goes as scheduled.
- Assist in employee data management by maintaining the electronic and physical employee personnel files.
- Assist with annual employee performance review process
- Ongoing administration of HRIS (Dayforce)
- Provide administrative assistance as it pertains to communicating and documenting payroll changes and adjustments
- Assist with benefit administration
- Assist with implementing Human Resources department initiatives
- Assist with policy updates as required
- Assist with creating and scheduling employee learning programs
- Other administrative duties as required and assigned

**Requirements**:

- Degree or diploma in administration or related field
- Minimum 1-2 years administrative experience
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office

- Able to communicate competently and effectively in the English language
