Are you an experienced **Facilities Manager** who thrives in a busy environment where demands are high and there is a need to prioritize what gets done each day? Are you energized by the challenge of managing facilities operations for our mission critical 24/7 Emergency Communications Centres?
Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, you will assist with driving the strategy and direction for site operations within facilities program guidelines. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of facilities operations and maintenance for all ECOMM sites, both leased and owned, as well as our 44 radio sites. Due to the nature of our work, you will also oversee the safety, security and comfort of all staff and visitors at E-Comm sites.
You will be responsible for the effective planning and completion of the preventative maintenance schedule for equipment at all facilities in the portfolio, conducting regular assessments of the condition of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and other mechanical systems and related equipment.
Described as a self-starter, with the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, you will develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders including department managers, Executives, landlords, management companies and contractors.
As an accomplished people leader, you will also lead the Facilities team, fostering a culture of collaboration, quality and service delivery.
**What you will need**:
- A results driven mindset with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment, whilst understanding the critical nature of the work that we do
- Strategic ability to support the creation and delivery of facilities services, programs and contracts
- A proven track record of building, mentoring, developing, and coaching a team of facilities professionals
- Experience in leading through collaboration, accountability, transparency and clear communication
**What you will bring**:
- Completion of a post-secondary program such as Building Operations, Real Property Administration (RPA), Facility Management Administrator (FMA), project management, facilities management or related field and a minimum of **7** years of related experience and **5** years supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- A Fourth Class Power Engineer Certificate or trade certificate would be an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of building maintenance methods, schedules, procedures, materials and equipment for building and support systems
- Demonstrated knowledge of the operation and maintenance of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and other mechanical equipment and related systems
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance, security systems, and emergency preparedness programs.
- Knowledge of local and national electrical codes, National Building Code and National Fire Code
- Ability to develop, manage and monitor capital and operating budgets, including capital renewal plans
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and to write clear, concise and complete reports on technical engineering issues and activities
- Experience leading in a unionized environment would be advantageou

**Security Requirements**:
As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained. This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm. The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is 7-10 years.
E-Comm offers a competitive salary of up to $ 107,870 and an excellent benefits package. This position is based in Vancouver. As an integral part of BC’s emergency services, E-Comm has a Covid-19 vaccination policy in effect with requirements for all current and future employees.
