**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems, including CCTV.
- Ensure the safety of all individuals on-site by identifying and addressing potential security risks.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as necessary.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings and property to prevent theft, vandalism, or other criminal activities.
- Document incidents and prepare reports on security breaches or unusual occurrences.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement effective loss prevention strategies.
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with the public and addressing their concerns.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in law enforcement or security roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment and loss prevention techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during long shifts.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with team members and the public.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Pay: $17.32-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Oakville, ON L6K 2W6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Security: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Security Guard Licence (preferred)
