The Earthwork Grading Foreman is responsible for coordinating and supervising numerous types of excavation work including but not limited to, bulk earthworks, fine grading and detailed excavation for a new state-of-the-art industrial development in Caledon. This role is responsible for ensuring that all team members do their job skillfully and efficiently, and ensure the scope of work progresses on schedule. This role will ensure the safety of their team members and equipment, through strong leadership and mentorship.

Ensures that checklists are performed by personnel, logged and reported daily.

Ensures all personnel time sheets are correctly filled in with proper cost codes and handed in to the site superintendent.

Demonstrates leadership and behaviours consistent with health & safety policies through front-line engagement, training and enforcement of policies. Ensures that all job hazard assessments, risk analysis and daily safety checklists items are performed. Conducts daily tailgate talks with construction site team to ensure a high level of awareness on hazards and that controls are in place to keep operations safe.

**Skills Required**:

- 5 years of foreman (or equivalent) experience in the construction industry
- Proficient in all aspects of earthworks, fine grading, detailed excavation
- Experience with GPS grading technology or the willingness to learn
- Experience and high level of proficiency operating all relevant equipment, Dozers, Excavators, Compaction Equipment
- Maintain company imagine and site cleanliness
- Strong organization skills with the ability to meet project deadlines and production targets
- Must have valid G License
- Strong knowledge of aggregate materials
- Strong communication skills
- Able to develop effective working relationships internally and externally
- Must speak fluent English
