Business Analyst

**Position Overview**

The primary role of the Business Systems Analyst is to provide support regarding the Canstar business systems, processes and reporting capabilities including PSA, MS Dynamics Business Central, Jet Analytics (data warehouse and reporting) and other Canstar systems. Responsibilities include ongoing enhancements of existing systems, provide support and analytics on new system projects, documenting and mapping processes as well as supporting end users and day-to-day business system functionality. This is a permanent, full-time position, and requires someone with strong computer skills, analytics and attention to detail. This role reports to the Business Process & Systems Manager.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the Business Process & Systems Manager on the ERP system daily activities and reporting including:

- Documentation and clear mapping of business processes.
- Documentation of all training materials for end users.
- Analyze functional issues with Dynamics 365 CE/BC presented through support enquiries, working to resolution in a timely fashion
- Consistently using active listening skills with a focus on capturing user needs, urgency, and issue details
- Creating user-facing knowledge base articles from resolved support cases
- Prepare functional design documentation for customizations
- Conduct solution, user and administrator testing as required
- Assist with analysis, design and development of Data warehouse structure and content.
- Complete daily system administrative and reporting tasks
- Ad-hoc related duties as required, related to both ERP and finance.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of two years’ experience **_Education and Experience _**with MS Dynamics, preferable experience with D365 (BC & CE)
- A degree or diploma in a post-secondary technical or business program is considered an asset
- Experience building business and/or technical explanatory documentation or manuals.
- Experience with DW development, data analysis and report writing (Jet Reports/Power BI)
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, modeling, and documentation.
- Restoration industry experience, considered an asset

- Applied knowledge of process planning, business analysis, and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, as well as accuracy and professionalism in written communication.
- Ability to take direction and constructive feedback and work within a time-sensitive environment.
- Ability to work with internal end-users and customers in a collaborative way, supporting team & business goals.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
- Strong ability to convey technical information to non-technical users

**Working Conditions**
- This position is a hybrid role and primarily reports out of the Coquitlam office
- Flexible start/end times during business hours Monday - Friday
- Company laptop/computer will be provided.
