In this vital role, you’ll collaborate with passionate site leads across BSF’s six locations in Calgary, our corporate office, and CLIQ to strengthen, expand, and celebrate volunteerism across the Foundation. You’ll be the driving force behind the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing engagement of volunteers who support our diverse services—from aging care and senior living programs, to a second-stage shelter for survivors of domestic violence, and special philanthropic events. With your guidance and leadership, our volunteers will feel empowered, appreciated, and inspired to give back to their communities. As a representative of BSF, you’ll champion a person-centered approach, uphold our Mission, Vision, and Values, and help foster a culture of community, safety, ethics, and philanthropy. **What You'll Be Doing**: - ** Lead volunteer programs**: Oversee recruitment, screening, interviews, onboarding, and placement of volunteers in collaboration with site-specific leaders. - ** Enhance volunteer experiences**: Manage training, evaluation, and recognition initiatives to celebrate and support our dedicated volunteers. - ** Drive community engagement**: Represent BSF at community events, schools, and fairs to recruit new volunteers and promote volunteerism. - ** Support our mission**: Help plan and implement volunteer-supported programs, events, and day-of-service opportunities. - ** Maintain systems**: Use our volunteer database (Better Impact) to track hours, performance, and reports. - ** Develop strategy**: Build annual plans for recruitment, retention, and program growth. - ** Be a connector**: Foster relationships between volunteers, staff, residents, and community partners—strengthening a culture of giving and inclusion. - ** Champion ethics and excellence**: Promote ethical practices and ensure volunteers meet standards through risk assessments and policy development. **Why Join Us**: At The Brenda Strafford Foundation, we are more than a workplace—we are a united team.
