**Core Function**:The primary function of this position is ensuring that resident meal service is performed in a pleasant and efficient manner, in compliance with department and Ministry of Health standards. As well, after meal service periods assists with ware washing operations and other assigned cleaning responsibilities. Physically challenging position requiring that the successful incumbent stand/walk for long periods of time. Fifty percent of the shift involves working with a variety of cleaning solutions in a hot, humid environment as well as lifting items up to 50 pounds in weight.

- Food service and handling: 1 year (preferred)
